There is never two engagement photography sessions that are quite the same. This particular shoot was a special one for me and my couple. It was the first engagement shoot I have done in some time. This was due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
I think the excitement of doing an engagement session got to me. A bit more than I thought it would. To a point where I actually have to shake it off so I could actually do the shoot lol!
My couple were fantastic in front of the camera. I would go as far as saying they were naturals, which made this shoot quite an easy one to do.
The Engagement Photography Location
The location was the lovely walkway along the canal in Athlone Town, which was shaded and out of the direct sunlight giving nice soft photos with vibrant colours.
This location in Athlone, Co Westmenth is also a great place not just for engagement or couples sessions, but also a great spot for family photography sessions.
When To Do Engagement Photos
Engagement photography usually includes pre-wedding photos. Typically referred to as a pre-wedding couples shoot. If you have not met with your wedding photographer yet, this is a great time to meet up and chat with him/her about your wedding day. The couples typically take photos in locations that are meaningful to their relationship. Engaging in these types of outdoor activities helps future couples get excited about wedding day. They will also get more comfortable in front of the camera.
